Nora Bateson’s proposals resonate particularly with the mission of Brèches, as well as with the reflections that drive its first thematic cycle on Presence. Never anchored in one idea, field, or vision, Bateson invites a sensitive exploration, always redefining itself and remaining fluid. With her book Combining, she has inspired Brèches from the very beginning, and it is with great excitement, anticipation, and joy that we are fortunate to welcome her to Montreal.

This day will offer both the discovery of her ideas through a conference, as well as the opportunity to explore and actively engage with this practice in the context of a Warm Data Lab.
