Why this event ?

Reclaiming celebrations and traditions, creating a space to be together, to reflect, and to celebrate the beauty of life as well as our connection to everything that surrounds us.

The winter solstice marks the return of the light. What could be more precious to celebrate?

Renaud Robert

Brown Family

Brown Family is the latest effort bringing together on record two brothers who have already left an indelible mark on Québec hip-hop with their unique styles—SnailKid (Dead Obies) and Jam (K6A, Jam et P-Dox)—alongside their Jamaican-born father, Robin Kerr (Uprising). In an era of linguistic controversies and debates about Québec identity and culture, Brown offers us the fruit of a richly blended family tree, celebrating the notions of hybridity and diversity.

Joe Bocan

The theatricality and extravagance of Joe Bocan's performances quickly made her a star beloved by critics and audiences alike. In 1988, she released her debut album, Joe Bocan, which was certified gold.

A committed artist, she has carved out a unique, uncompromising career centered on creativity.

Today, she returns with a new album offering contemporary music that resonates with the times, breaks social boundaries, and conveys a message of radical love.

Secondsight

In her artistic performance Natural Satellites, Hajia Maa/Secondsight invites the audience to join her on a deeply personal journey.

Just as natural satellites are celestial bodies orbiting around a planet, the artist will orbit around her ancestry through a lasting spiritual connection.

Emma Shindo

Cédric Dind-Lavoie

The musician revives old treasures uncovered through passionate research—a selection of songs and instrumental tunes from the 1940s and 1950s, drawn from the collections of folklorists Simonne Voyer, Roger Matton, and Luc Lacourcière. He then accompanies them, primarily on the piano, enhancing them with a modern and intimate musical arrangement.

Lia Kuri

Lia Kuri’s newest offering, 2024's Motherland, is not only her first solo release in two years, but it is also her debut full-length album. Having released two solo EP’s while fronting her band Afternoon Bike Ride and collaborating with electronic artists such as Apashe and Imanu, she took 2023 to build and finalize Motherland, an electronic concept album about climate change and maternalization. With multiple family-related undertakings throughout her twenties (from caring for her mother with cancer to caring for her father with dementia), she almost shelved this solo project. We are grateful this album is seeing the light of day. And what a light it is.

France Bernard

In recent years, France Bernard has paid tribute to Québec poet Gilbert Langevin through song with the album and performance Le choix des armes.

More recently, she released the album L’Orée (2023), featuring original lyrics and compositions. The album includes arrangements by Francis Covan, mixing by William Le GalleeMan, and three texts by Waguih Koury. A blend of poetic pop, vibrant music, and rhythms infused with a woody essence!
